The WNBA announced last week that they plan to expand to the Bay Area with a franchise beginning in 2025. The Bay Area WNBA team will share the Chase Center and front office with the seven-time NBA Champions the Golden State Warriors. More info on expansion here. The 2023 NWSL championships became clearer this week. Only 6 of the 12 teams in the league will advance to the playoffs. The Portland Thorns FC and the San Diego Wave FC have both already secured their spots. The remaining 4 spots will be determined this upcoming weekend with 8 teams vying for the opportunity.
