The PWHL (Professional Women's Hockey League) has crowned the inaugural champion - Minnesota! They secured a decisive 3-0 win against Boston in game 5 of the championship series. What an exciting series to cap off the season!
It's official! Canada has announced a new professional women's soccer league called "The Northern Super League" that will kick off in 2025. The inaugural season will include a 25-game regular season, followed by playoffs and a national championship. The cities are Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Halifax.
Three starters from the Argentina senior squad stepped away from the team on Monday, citing poor training conditions and the federation’s failure to compensate players. Laurina Oliveros (starting goalkeeper), Julieta Cruz (defender), and Lorena Benítez (midfielder) will not participate in the upcoming international friendlies on May 31st and June 3rd.
