The USWNT won their first game of the CONCACAF W Gold Cup 5-0 against the Dominican Republic. This tournament is key to the team's preparation for the 2024 Olympics. Injuries to a couple of key players - Mia Fishel with a torn ACL and Alana Cook with a knee injury - caused Alex Morgan and Becky Sauerbrunn to be called up. The USWNT will play Argentina tomorrow 2/23 at 7:15pm PT/10:15pm ET. More information about the tournament here.

In the world of NCAA women's college basketball a couple of key highlights from the past week: 1. Paige Bueckers announced she will be returning to UConn for 2025. 2. Caitlin Clark broke the NCAA women's scoring record on Feb 15, 2024 with 3,528 points. Lynette Woodward from Kansas set the AIAW major-college record from 1978-1981, before the NCAA began governing women's sports, so her records are often overlooked. Keep in mind this was also before the 3 point line was introduced!

On Fri, Feb 16th PWHL fans broke the in-person attendance record for women's hockey with 19,285 fans in the stands. The game ended at 3-0 with Toronto defeating Montreal. To watch upcoming games, check out the season schedule here.
