Thu, April 24 - NSL's innaugural match, US hockey, NCAA gymnastics

The brand new professional women's soccer league in Canada, the Northern Super League or NSL, had a smashing opening weekend with the inaugural match fielding a crowd of 14,018 at Vancouver’s BC Place. The regular season will run until mid October with playoffs starting shortly thereafter. Full schedule here.


The US women's hockey team took down rival Canada 4-3 in an overtime thriller to win the 11th IIHF Women’s World Championship. What a win! More on the match here. The tournament set a new Women’s World Championship attendance record - 122,331 total fans watched games in Czechia.


Over the weekend the Oklahoma’s gymnastics team hoisted the trophy for the third time in the last four years. With a total score of 198.0125 they outscored UCLA, Utah, and Missouri to take home the hardware. Go Sooners!
